BWC Consulting believes investing in people by providing a platform for scale is the best way to deliver resources for catalytic concurrent impacts across the country. Changing demographics in the U.S. highlight the need to build out the pipeline of underrepresented talent within the broader entrepreneurial and economic development landscapes. As such, ensuring the people infrastructure have the tools, access, information and networks to capitalize on opportunities as well as to identify and pursue economic development initiatives that promote wealth creation is our priority for the next 20-years.
WHAT IS THE STRATEGY? [To Launch EDIF, Where Infrastructure is People]
Launch the Economic Development Infrastructure Foundation (EDIF) a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)[1] organization where infrastructure is people. Good people are like good material; without them the structure will not be sound.
EDIF (the “Foundation”) is structured to ensure the integrity of investments made without the cloud of immediate return priorities. We believe that a purity of investment decisions generates outcomes that ultimately: (1) enhance the management team’s performance; (2) fill a persistent access to capital void for both last funds needed and attractive, but difficult-to-finance, investment opportunities; and (3) contribute to developing a more diverse pipeline of experienced professional practitioners along the economic development continuum.
